Applying for Certification
Exam Eligibility
ANCB requires a master’s level degree to sit for the certification exam in Nutritional Wellness, a certificate in herbal medicine to sit for our exam in Herbal Wellness, and a doctoral level degree for the exam in Traditional Naturopathy. Practical experience, apprenticeships, and additional certifications are also considered with your application.
One application can be used for either the Traditional Naturopathy, Nutritional Wellness, or Herbal Wellness certification exam. The application is a pdf and can be viewed and printed using the Adobe Acrobat Reader software.

Exam Content
Traditional Naturopathy exam: Anatomy and Physiology, Biology and Chemistry, Herbology, Homeopathy, Bioenergetic Methods, Nutrition, Iridology, Exercise and Body Movement, Detoxification, History and Philosophy of Natural Health, and Professional Ethics.
Nutritional Wellness exam: Basic science of holistic nutrition; using whole foods, supplements, vitamins and minerals to optimize wellness; Relationships between environmental health and the health of individuals and communities; and nutritional wellness through the lifespan from birth to death.
